Central Coast Council

Positions for group to recommend erosion options for Wamberal Beach open until 29 September

The Central Coast Council is asking for expressions of interest to fill two local community positions for the Wamberal Terminal Protection Project Working Group.

Expressions of interest close at 5:00pm on Friday 29 September 2017.

The Project Working Group will make recommendations to the Council on how to manage beach erosion on Wamberal Beach.

The group will consist of:

  • Council representatives
  • Representatives of the NSW Government
  • Two local community representatives.

The committee may co-opt additional specialists as the project progresses.

Community members of the group will not be remunerated.

The Council wants to engage with the community to implement the beach erosion management options following the certification of the Gosford Beaches Coastal Zone Management Plan by the NSW Minister for the Environment.

Meetings will be held fortnightly initially, potentially moving to monthly meetings.

You will need to email your name, address and your interest in Wamberal Beach erosion to Peter Ham, Unit Manager Waterways and Coastal Protection at peter.ham@centralcoast.nsw.gov.au.

Expressions of interest close at 5:00pm on Friday 29 September 2017.

Good luck.
