Location and access

Wamberal Beach extends north from Terrigal lagoon past Wamberal Lagoon and up to Wamberal Point in the Wamberal Lagoon Nature Reserve.

The Wamberal Surf Life Saving Club is about 200 metres south of Wamberal Lagoon. Car access is from Remembrance Drive, Wiles Avenue and Dover Roads and there are several foot tracks over the fore dune on Ocean View Drive between Dover Road and Pacific Street.

Surfing

Wamberal has good beach breaks as well as good waves over the northern reefs.

Wamberal Express Boardriders (WEB) is the battleground for some of the Central Coasts best surfers with over 130 members. Competitions are held monthly at Wamberal Beach. You can flick them an email at web@web2260.com

Waves

Waves at Wamberal Beach average 1.5 m with up to 15 rips dominating the surf zone. But Wambie can big, mean and nasty. Check rockterrigals video.

Swimming

Swimming is best down between the flags near the surf club. North Wamberal is dominated by active and often strong rips. As wave height drops the rips decrease in size.

Fishing

Wamberal has good beach gutters.  The lagoon mouth, when open is good for flathead, bream, whiting, sand  whitingtailor and mulloway.
